Devin
started his racing career at the young age of 4
years old by racing Remote Control cars. At this
young age, he received rookie of the year presented
to him by Tony Stewart after Devin beat Tony in his
heat race. This talent landed him a sponsorship with
Custom Works which is owned by Tony Stewart as well
as with Futaba Radio Company. Devin has traveled to
NC, VA, IL and several tracks in PA. He was also
track champion in sprint car and in East Coast
modified in 2007 at the age
of 9.
In 2009, at the age of 11, Devin left his R/C cars
behind and decided he wanted to sit in a vehicle and
get behind the wheel. Therefore, he climbed into a
cyclone. Devin finished 4th in points for
his first year.
Well, Devin’s need for speed didn’t stop there, it
placed him in a 600 micro sprint. His first race out
he started 14th and finished 7th.
He will start his 2010 racing season by racing his
600 Micro Sprint at Shippensburg Speedway.
At this point, Devin’s ultimate goal is to become a
professional full scale late model driver for Tony
Stewart. If not late model, anything with wheel’s
will be just fine with him. |
